Da-da-da-da We Have A Winner!!
We received many songs covering a wide variety of what constitutes a wedding song.
The winning song embodies everything a classic wedding song requires.
But, most of all it touched our hearts.

It’s All About Z Music
One of the many perks of my job as a voice coach is that I am introduced to a wider range of music than I might normally seek out on my own. Last weekend I went to hear Abigail Rose at a house concert in suburban Brentwood, TN. The owners Terry and Wanda Seay provide a venue for weekly concerts of new music from greater and lesser known songwriters. Read more and see her performance…

Congratulations Misty Rae and Jason Carson
We congratulate Misty Rae and Jason Carson on their wedding this past Saturday in Franklin Tennessee.
Misty has worked as an Associate Teacher for Renee the last seven years and has been a student for seventeen.
Jason and Misty began their friendship as co-writers on a song.
Did they take a honeymoon trip to Hawaii? No. To Niagara Falls? Wrong again. They drove over to the Blue Bird Café, Nashville’s premiere venue for showcasing songwriters, to take part in a writers-in-the-round showcase. Looks like they are in for a blissfully musical life together.

X-Factor Files
Hooray! for Hayley Orrantia and the glam girl group, Lakoda Rayne, for surviving the first cut on the monster hit show — The X-Factor. Simon especially seems to be sold on Lakoda Rayne and their luscious harmonies.

Every once in a while I get lucky enough to be in on the ground floor of the “Next Big Thing.” An act or a singer I’ve never heard of before comes waltzing into my studio loaded up with that certain something (more).
Flying Under the Radar
I’ve been a “Survivor” fan since the beginning and rarely miss an episode. I was so excited to see one of my students, Whitney Duncan on the show. Join me in Cheering her on!

Sadly we say “Arrivederci” to Francesca Nicoli, runner-up in the Amici di Maria De Filippi contest, the Italian version of American Idol. She received a six-week trip to Nashville to study with Renee.
